MWHO MISSION & VISION

Our mission is to end the cycle of survival for mothers and families by addressing the root conditions that keep families in crisis.

OUR VISION

We envision a world where survival is no longer inherited. Where families are supported by systems designed for stability, where healing, safety, and opportunity replace crisis as the default, where parents lead their families and children are protected from being "parentified" by preventable instability.

OUR WHY

We believe survival mode is not a personal failure. It is a system condition created by prolonged instability, chronic stress, and fragmented support.

When families are given predictable safety, skills, and accountability, they can rewire out of survival and into sustainable wellbeing. Maternal World Health exists to prove — and build — that system.

JOIN US IN BUILDING OUR VILLAGE
  • Survival Is a System Condition — Not a Personal Failure

When families remain in crisis, it is not due to lack of effort or values. Prolonged instability, chronic stress, and fragmented support systems create predictable survival behaviors with lasting health and social consequences.

  • Maternal Health Begins with Safety and Stability

Before families can benefit from clinical care, workforce programs, or long-term planning, basic needs must be met. Safety, access to essentials, and reliable support are foundational public health interventions.

  • Chronic Survival Creates Intergenerational Harm

When caregivers lack stability, children are often forced into adult roles too early. This parentification increases toxic stress, disrupts development, and raises the risk of system involvement across generations.

  • Community-Led, Last-Mile Solutions Drive Real Change

Effective interventions are designed with — not for — communities. Delivering resources, education, and support directly to homes and trusted spaces removes barriers, restores dignity, and produces measurable outcomes.

Maternal Care..The MWHO WAY

Maternal World Health Organization delivers research-backed, community-led solutions that meet families where they are.

We focus on the critical space between survival and stability, where families are most vulnerable to system involvement, burnout, and intergenerational harm.

Our approach includes:

Immediate Crisis Support

We provide last-mile delivery of diapers, formula, groceries, and hygiene supplies directly to families’ homes and community locations, reducing stress, preventing crisis escalation, and protecting child wellbeing.

Community Baby Showers & Health Fairs

We host culturally responsive community gatherings that combine celebration with essentials, safety education, wellness services, and trusted resource connections.

Emergency Relief & Barrier Removal

We address urgent needs such as utility shutoffs, transportation barriers, and safety-related expenses that disproportionately push families into crisis and system involvement.

Resource Navigation & Wraparound Connection

We connect mothers to housing, mental health, workforce, and family support services, guiding them through each step, recognizing that access alone is not support.

Peer Support with Trauma-Informed Care

Mothers with lived experience provide peer support in a safe, understanding environment, fostering resilience, dignity, and long-term community connection.

Our Village in Action

OUR WORK, ACTUALLY WORKS

From 2023-2024 we grew exponentially in reach, connection, and successful outcomes. We helped mothers from all walks life across Georgia, showing that our model not only works, but is filling a significant gap in our maternal care system.

Meet Our Team

Britt Samuels | Founder & CEO

Britt Samuels founded Maternal World Health in 2023, to address the gaps in maternal care systems that force mothers into survival mode. As a child, Britt was parentified due to her mother’s lack of support which shaped her understanding of what happens when single parent's are left to navigate hardship alone.

After later navigating motherhood within fragmented systems herself, Britt founded Maternal World Health to build coordinated, dignified pathways of care that support long-term stability, not short-term crisis management. Brittany’s work is rooted in systems-building, advocacy, and community collaboration, with a focus on helping mothers move from survival to sustainability.

Her leadership is driven by lived experience, accountability, and a commitment to creating real solutions that work in practice—not just on paper.
